WELESTRA- D Tablets
Desogestrel 0.15mg + Ethinylestradiol0.02mg Tablets – Welestra-D Tablets is an oral oestrogen combination drug that contains Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol and is primarily used for contraception and dysmenorrhea treatment. Contraception is a procedure used in family planning to prevent pregnancy. A woman can only become pregnant if her egg is fertilised by a man’s sperm. Dysmenorrhea is characterised by irregular and painful menstrual cycles that cause abdominal pain, digestive issues, fainting, vomiting, and nausea.
It inhibits the release of an egg from the ovaries and thickens the fluid in the cervix, making it difficult for sperm to enter the womb. Furthermore, it prevents the thickening of the uterus’s inner wall, which is required for an egg to grow and multiply.
Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol Tablets Uses
Welestra – D prevents you from becoming pregnant. It restricts an egg from being released from your ovaries and slows sperm movement. This affects and hinders fertilization. If used correctly, the tablet is a reliable and safe method of contraception. It does not interfere with sex, and you can go about your normal routine without worry.
Inform your doctor if you have a medical history of heart disease, cancer (breast, cervix, or uterus), diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, liver or kidney disease, or abnormal uterine bleeding. It does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases or HIV. If you become pregnant while taking this tablet, please consult your doctor about using it as a birth control pill.
Direction To Use
Welestra – D is an oral contraceptive pill that can be taken with or without food. For best results, take it at the same time every day. The medicine is intended to be taken for 21 days, beginning on the first day of your menstrual cycle, and then discontinued for the remaining 7 days. Every month, the course will be the same.
